Oh great, another Ian Hunter compilation that claims to be the "best of" but clearly isn't. Spanning the "Chrysalis Years" of 1979 to 1981, it can hardly hope to capture all the essential tracks of a man who has been solo since the end of 1974.
Two tracks each from Shizophrenic and Short Back 'n' Sides, five live tracks (one of which, Slaughter On 10th Avenue, really showcases guitarist Mick Ronson) and a rare outtake that was included on the original CD release of Short Back n Sides, this doesn't even do his 79-81 output justice.
Packaging is non-existant, so the hapless buyer will be none the wiser in knowing who Ian is - and if you already know, there's no reason to add to your collection with this offering.
If you're looking for a good Ian Hunter compilation that truly is a "best of", then check out the Once Bitten Twice Shy compilation instead.
