Mott The Hoople and Ian Hunter

Ian Hunter's 1997 UK Tour - South Shields

This has got to be the best ( even though I was sat down for all of the concert ). Arrived at 8 for the support at 8.15 told to take our seats 8.30 on walks Ian and the band and played a solid 2hours 10mins at one point he sat on a stool some-one shouted "are you tired" Ian replied I could play up here all f**king night. He was in a good mood, a lot of talking between songs. Boy and Waterlow were superb, at the end it was sad , he finished with Saturday Gigs shouting "See Ya, Tarra and Good-Bye" as he waved his hand and walked off.It was if to say that is it.

Ian is the only person I know who can perform heavy rock 1 minute then a Ballad the next and still make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Can't wait for York 1/10/97.
