The Manchester show was recorded for a possible live album, but a recording fault meant the plan had to be scrapped.

January 2002

Ian played two dates at the Sentrum Scene, Oslo, Norway on 29th and 30th January 2002. These gigs were with a six-piece band and 20-piece orchestra, and were recorded and filmed for the Strings Attached DVD.

Summer 2001 Ringo Tour

Ian toured the US in the summer (August/September) as part of Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band. At most gigs Ian was allowed three songs of his own (it is a Ringo tour, after all), but at some gigs he did four (Cleveland Rocks, Still Love Rock n Roll, All The Young Dudes being the "regulars" and Irene Wilde being the extra number).

Ian was well received at most gigs, with Dudes usually bringing the house down. He seemed to enjoy himself immensely, judging by the gig reports posted on the mailing list.

2001 UK Tour

Ian toured the UK in June 2001, promoting his new album, Rant. This follows on from earlier tours in 2000, 1999 and 1997. I have reports and photos from some of these gigs in my tour archive.
